Lindsay's Success Story

I started my fitness journey with Josh in July of 2010. I went into it not really having any expectations, or knowing exactly what I was getting myself into. I knew that I wanted to reach the basic fitness goals of every girl; lose weight, learn how to lift weights properly, and have muscle definition. Before I started personal training, I was the cardio queen. I never lifted weights, and spent endless amounts of time on treadmills and ellipticals. Clearly this route was not working in my best interest, seeing as I had not only gained weight in the process, but had reached no new fitness goals in years.


I remember the start of training like it was yesterday. On day one, I weighed in, calculated my body fat, and got measurements. This was the beginning of reality for me. Not only, did I weigh the most I ever had, but I felt miserable about my body image. Something had to change, and it was going to start now.


I trained with Josh three days a week and I have to admit it was incredibly difficult at first, but looking back at it now, I do not regret one session. Josh pushed me to be better, and take accountability for my actions in and outside of the gym. Not only was he giving me the greatest workouts of my life, but he was also coaching me through the nutritional aspect as well. I started to pay attention to the food I was eating, along with my exercise, and I started to see changes.


I trained with Josh for almost two years, and it was the best decision I have ever made. He was there for my successes and failures, and always pushed me to do, and be, my best. I have never been happier with my body image, as well as my workout routine. When I began training, I weighed 167 lbs with 27% body fat, and now I weigh 145 lbs with 14% body fat. I have never felt better in my entire life, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! I would recommend personal training to anyone, even if you think you could benefit in small ways. It has the potential to change your life, like it did mine!
